Haryana Becomes Mini Pakistan

Haryana unrest could've been foiled; Mewat people fought Mughals, stood firmly with India: Dy CM

Haryana's Mewat is being called 'Mini Pakistan' on social media after the two-day violence. Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala spoke against the name-calling.

Amid intense political blame-game over Haryana violence that spilled from Mewat and stopped short of reaching Delhi, Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala on Tuesday said the people of Mewat fought for the Independence of India and resisted the Mughals' attack. The statement as some social media users called Mewat -- the epicentre of the violence -- as ‘Mini Pakistan’.

Mewat firmly stood with India: Dushyant Chautala

On July 31, a Hindu procession in Muslim majority Nuh, formerly known as Mewat, was attacked after a video went viral. The violence started from there and spread to other areas of Haryana, including Gurugram. Five people were killed, shops were set on fire and several were injured in the two-day violence. While chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said there was a conspiracy behind the violence that spiralled on Monday and Tuesday, deputy chief minister Dushyant Singh Chautala said the people of Mewat always stood firmly with India. They fought when the Mughals attacked, they also fought for the Independence. dia or the post-Independence period, Mewat always stood firmly with India. “People of Mewat fought for the Independence of India. What happened in Nuh on Monday is unprecedented in the history of Haryana and those behind this incident must be identified and punished as per law,” the deputy CM said.

‘Haryana violence could have been prevented’

The deputy CM said the organisers of the rally which came under the attack did not give the full information about their rally, nor did they give any proper estimation of the number of people participating in the rally. Attributing the widespread damage to this incomplete info given by the organisers, the deputy CM said the culprits will be punished irrespective of their political affiliations.

Haryana violence toll reaches 6; 116 people arrested

The toll of the Nuh violence reached six on Wednesday morning with Bajrang Dal convener Pradeep Sharma succumbing to his injuries on Wednesday. Before the sixth death five people including two home guards and the naib imam of a mosque, were killed.

WHAT IS DARK AND DEEP WEB?

What is the Deep and Dark Web?

Dark web definition

The dark web is the hidden collective of internet sites only accessible by a specialized web browser. It is used for keeping internet activity anonymous and private, which can be helpful in both legal and illegal applications. While some use it to evade government censorship, it has also been known to be utilized for highly illegal activity.

What is the dark web, deep web, and surface web?

The Internet is sizable with millions of web pages, databases, and servers all run 24 hours a day. But the so-called "visible" Internet (aka surface web or open web) — sites that can be found using search engines like Google and Yahoo — is just the tip of the iceberg.

There are several terms surrounding the non-visible Web, but it's worth knowing how they differ if you're planning to browse off the beaten path.

The open web, or surface web, is the “visible” surface layer. If we continue to visualize the entire web like an iceberg, the open web would be the top portion that’s above the water. From a statistical standpoint, this collective of websites and data makes up under 5% of the total internet.

All commonly public-facing websites accessed via traditional browsers like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox are contained here. Websites are usually labeled with registry operators like “.com” and “.org” and can be easily located with popular search engines.

Locating surface web websites is possible because search engines can index the web via visible links (a process called “crawling” due to the search engine traveling the web like a spider).

The deep web rests below the surface and accounts for approximately 90% of all websites. This would be the part of an iceberg beneath the water, much larger than the surface web. In fact, this hidden web is so large that it's impossible to discover exactly how many pages or websites are active at any one time.

Carrying on with the analogy, big search engines could be considered like fishing boats that can only "catch" websites close to the surface. Everything else, from academic journals to private databases and more illicit content, is out of reach. This deep web also includes the portion that we know as the dark web.

While many news outlets use "deep web" and "dark web" interchangeably, much of the deep portion as a whole is perfectly legal and safe. Some of the largest parts of the deep web include:

Databases: both public and privately protected file collections that are not connected to other areas of the web, only to be searched within the database itself.
Intranets: internal networks for enterprises, governments, and educational facilities used to communicate and control aspects privately within their organizations.

In case you’re wondering how to access the deep web, chances are you already use it daily. The term "deep web" refers to all web pages that that are unidentifiable by search engines. Deep web sites may be concealed behind passwords or other security walls, while others simply tell search engines to not “crawl” them. Without visible links, these pages are more hidden for various reasons.

On the larger deep web, its “hidden” content is generally cleaner and safer. Everything from blog posts in-review and pending web page redesigns, to the pages you access when you bank online, are part of the deep web. Furthermore, these pose no threat to your computer or safety at large. Most of these pages are kept hidden from the open web to protect user information and privacy, such as:

Financial accounts like banking and retirement..

Email and social messaging accounts..

Private enterprise databases..

HIPPA sensitive information like medical documentation..

Legal files..

HOW TO USE DARK WEB / HOW TO USE TOR?

How to access the dark web safely

If you have a legitimate or viable need to access the dark web, you’ll want to make sure you stay safe if you decide to use it.

7 Tips for safe access to the dark web

Trust your intuition. To avoid being scammed, you’ll want to protect yourself with smart behavior on the web. Not everyone is who they seem. Staying safe requires that you watch who you talk to and where you visit. You should always take action to remove yourself from a situation if something doesn’t feel right.
Detach your online persona from real life. Your username, email address, “real name,” password, and even your credit card should never be used anywhere else in your life. Create brand-new throwaway accounts and identifiers for yourself if necessary. Acquire prepaid, unidentifiable debit cards before making any purchases. Do not use anything that could be used to identify you — whether online or in real life.
Employ active monitoring of identify and financial theft. Many online security services now offer identity protection for your safety. Be sure to take advantage of these tools if they are made available to you.
Explicitly avoid dark web file downloads. Fear of malware infection is significantly higher in the lawless territory that is the dark web. Real-time file scanning from an antivirus program can help you check any incoming files in case you do opt to download.
Disable ActiveX and Java in any available network settings. These frameworks are notorious for being probed and exploited by malicious parties. Since you are traveling through a network filled with said threats, you’ll want to avoid this risk.
Use a secondary non-admin local user account for all daily activities. The native account on most computers will have full administrative permissions by default. Most malware must take advantage of this to execute its functions. As such, you can slow or halt the progress of exploitation by limiting the account in-use to strict privileges.
Always restrict access to your Tor-enableddevice. Protect your children or other family members so they aren't at risk of stumbling across something no one should ever see. Visit the Deep Web if you're interested, but don't let kids anywhere near it.

WHAT ARE SWIFT AND BIC CODES

WHAT ARE SWIFT AND BIC CODES

SWIFT codes (also known as BIC codes) ensure safe and speedy international payments through the SWIFT system. When making an overseas transaction, a SWIFT code is used to verify the identity of the banks or financial institutions. This safety measure helps ensure that funds are sent to the correct account.

Between 8 and 11 characters long, each character of a SWIFT or BIC code provides specific details that can be validated, such as the bank, the country of origin, or the branch location. Once the bank is authenticated, a quick and secure overseas payment can be made.

Why was the SWIFT/BIC code system created?

The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (or SWIFT) system was created to provide a standardized and secure way of sending international payments. SWIFT is essentially a messaging network that allows different banks to send and receive information electronically. Thanks to its standardized format, SWIFT helps to avoid confusion between banks in different countries, making payments simpler and faster with less room for error.

Who uses the SWIFT and BIC code system?

Over 200 countries and 11,000 institutions use the SWIFT / BIC system—in fact, it’s the biggest international payment network in the world. By processing the codes, the system can detect where the transfer should be sent to by checking the characters in the transfer against the global database. If you’re planning to send or receive money internationally via your bank, you’ll probably be asked for a SWIFT or BIC code.

What are SWIFT and BIC codes?

In an increasingly global economy, you might find that you’re making more and more international transactions. If so, you may have heard of SWIFT and BIC codes. Wondering what they are and how they work? Read on!

SWIFT and BIC codes—defined
When it comes to SWIFT and BIC codes, things can get a little confusing—so let’s lay out a simple definition. In short, SWIFT is the name of the overall messaging system, and BIC is the code used for the system—or the ‘Bank Identifier Code’. Both terms are used interchangeably to describe the code, or even the system. This means that if you request your SWIFT or BIC code, you’ll receive the exact same 8-11 digit number.

Do I need a SWIFT or BIC code to make an international payment?

Wherever you are in the world, if you need to send or receive funds overseas through your bank, the SWIFT code of the recipient is usually required. Without this code, the transaction will likely not go through.

You’ll also typically need to provide an IBAN, or International Bank Account Number, when making an international transfer. Need some insight on IBANs and how they work? Learn more about what an IBAN number is here, and how to use one here!

Understanding BIC code formats

Consisting of both numbers and letters, your BIC code has 8 characters—or possibly 11 if the branch location is included.

The first 4 letters of the code indicate the financial institution unique to your banking service provider—to make it simple, this may be the initials of the bank’s name! Next is a 2-letter country code, such as ‘FR’ for France or ‘DE’ for Germany, and a 2 character location code that indicates the bank’s head office. The last 3 digits, if they’re provided, refer to the specific branch that your bank account is associated with.

Redmi Note 10 5G could launch with Snapdragon 750G, may get high refresh-rate display

Redmi Note 10 5G could launch with Snapdragon 750G, may get high refresh-rate display

Xiaomi Is Allegedly Readying The Redmi Note 10 Series For China. Rumors Suggest It Will Be A Rebranded Version Of The Upcoming Mi 10T Lite.
Xiaomi may have just completed launching the Redmi 9 series in India but there's already news about the Redmi Note 10 series. According to a popular tipster, the next generation Redmi Note 10 series could jump to 5G and gain performance in multiple levels. The Redmi Note 9 Pro already jumped to the Snapdragon 720G chip this year. The Note 10 series will use the latest Snapdragon 750G, equipped with 5G connectivity.

Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has shared information on his Twitter timeline about two upcoming Xiaomi devices. The Redmi sub-brand will launch two phones based on the Snapdragon 750G and Snapdragon 865 SoC. Both these phones will have larger displays with big batteries. The latter bit about the battery and display is vague as all Xiaomi devices this year have massive screens as well as batteries.

Another report from GizmoChina suggests that Xiaomi may pull off the rebranding trick once more for the Redmi Note 10 series. Xiaomi is expected to announce a Mi 10T Lite soon and this could be based on the Snapdragon 750G chip. For China, this phone will become the Redmi Note 10 5G. There's nothing on the Snapdragon 865-toting Redmi smartphone.

REDMI NOTE 10 SERIES COULD GET HUGE UPGRADES
The Redmi Note 9 Pro series this year offered notable upgrades in performance with the Snapdragon 720G chipset. Adding the Snapdragon 750G will make the phone more powerful than ones with Snapdragon 730G. The addition of 5G connectivity could make the Note 10 series more expensive though and Xiaomi may limit it to China for this year.

There's talk of bigger displays with a higher refresh rate reserved for the Snapdragon 865-powered phone. This could be the Redmi K30T Pro or K30 Pro Premium Edition with improved internals. The tip says Xiaomi could launch the Mi 10T series in China under the Redmi K30T series later in the year.

Coming back to the Note 10 series, there are two models expected for the Chinese market. One of them could be the Redmi Note 10 5G using the Snapdragon 750G chip. The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G could use a MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip for enhanced gaming performance. The Dimensity 820 is also a 5G chipset that is restricted to the Chinese market for now.

Currently, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is the flagship model in the Note series. It starts in India at a price of Rs 16,999 and brings lots of premium features. The Max gets 33W fast charging, 64-megapixel main camera and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. There's also a regular Redmi Note 9 Pro with slower 18W charging and 48-megapixel main camera.

Honda to Launch Royal Enfield

Honda to Launch Royal Enfield Rivaling New 350cc Motorcycle Today, Likely Called H'Ness

In November, Honda had mentioned that they aggressively wanted to expand this Big Wing to 75 cities across India and the upcoming H’Ness could take the case forward.

Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India will launch its highly anticipated 300cc motorcycle in India today as a strong competitor for the Royal Enfield. According to a report, the powerful two-wheeler has been named as H’Ness. This name will be pronounced as ‘Highness’.

In all its promotional posts, the Japanese automaker has been using the term ‘Highness’. The only possible reason for changing the spelling of the name is the fact that the term ‘Highness’ was opposed in the trademark application while ‘H’ness’ was accepted.

One of the social media posts for the promotion of the new bike read, “If it sounds so powerful, you can imagine how it looks. The date for the most majestic arrival of the year has been set. Your Highness is arriving on 30th September 2020, 11:55 am onwards. Stay tuned! #YOURHIGHNESS.”

As of now, there have been no updates regarding the specifications of the upcoming two-wheeler. However, it is worth mentioning that the bike will be sold through Honda Big Wing dealer network. Usually, the bikes that are sold through Honda Big Wing are premium, but this one will be an exception as it is going to be perhaps the most affordable motorcycle sold through the said network.

ABOUT ANDROID 11

Android 11: conversations, bubbles, and making sense of complexity

The Android 11 beta is available now for Pixel phone
Today, Google is releasing the Android 11 beta for Pixel phones. It features a revamped notification system, a new power menu, and dozens of smaller tweaks. I’ve been using an early version of it provided to me by Google on my Pixel 4 XL for about a week now, and I’m already depending on some of its new features.
Android is a “mature” operating system, which is to say there aren’t a lot of obvious missing features. You might say that mature smartphone operating systems like Android and iOS have the opposite problem: too many features. So Android 11 doesn’t add a lot of new capabilities; instead, it tries to help you handle all of the things your phone already does. The job of a mature operating system is to manage complexity.

The major features in the Android 11 beta

  • Conversations: The notification shade now breaks out messages from your texting apps into their own section at the top
  • Priority conversations: You can mark certain conversations as “priority,” which puts the sender’s avatar on your lock screen and optionally allows you to let them break through your Do Not Disturb settings
  • Bubbles: You can have your texting threads pop out into a little bubble that floats over your other apps. It works just like Chat Heads for Facebook Messenger but is now available to any texting app.
  • Notifications have simpler, easier-to-understand presets for “Alerting notifications” and “Silent notifications” and allow you more control over how those presets work
  • Do Not Disturb lets you customize which apps or people are allowed to notify you when the mode is on
  • Media controls have been moved up into quick settings, and you can select where your audio output goes now
  • Screenshots now appear on the lower-left corner, just like they do on the iPhone
  • Native screen recording should finally become an official, Android-level feature
  • The power menu now serves as a kind of digital wallet, with controls for powering your phone, Google Pay cards and passes, and now smart home control
  • The recents screen now has new buttons for taking a screenshot, sharing a screenshot, or selecting text
  • You can replace your dock with suggested apps (but why would you, really?)
  • There’s a new one-time permission option for location
  • If you don’t use an app for a while, its permissions reset automatically
  • Voice Access, the accessibility feature that allows you to control your phone by speaking, has been upgraded and can now understand “screen content and context, and generates labels and access points for accessibility commands.”
